MusicMasterPro is a program designed to record digital audio files and to
play both digital audio and video files in a variety of different
formats.
Some of the formats supported are: .wav, .wma, .wmv, .asf, .avi, .mp2,
.mp3, .mpeg, .mid, .rmi, .mod, .s3m, .xm, .it, .sgt, .off, .raw, .au, and
a host more.
The program can play files on your computer's hard disk, and can stream
files in real time from the Internet, as well.
It contains some sophisticated
DSP (digital signal processing) effects that
operate in real time during recording or playback, allowing you to add
special effects (including preverb, reverb, flange, echo, digital filtering,
and 3D sound)
to music.
The program also supports a variety of different software sound
drivers, including Direct Sound, Windows Multimedia WaveOut, and A3D drivers.
In addition, it makes optimum use of hardware mixing, if your computer supports
this.
MusicMasterPro also supports a variety of different
"skins", used to
create an interesting user interface.
It also supports a number of
different
"visualizations" (graphic images that are dynamically modulated
by the spectral and intensity components of the music as it is being
played), that also enhance the user interface.
There is also a real-time
spectrum and
oscilloscope-like display of the
music being recorded or played back, and the program has very accurate
dB meters that register the intensity of the sound being recorded or
played back.
The program also comes with a built-in
mixer, with which you can set the
recording and playback volume of all the devices supported by your
computer's soundcard.
In addition, the program provides a set of 10 dynamic
equalizers, with
which you can adjust the frequency response in different frequency
bands.
MusicMasterPro also contains a built-in CD Player.
To select which files you would like to play at any given time,
MusicMasterPro provides a very flexible
Playlist feature, with which you
can select a set of files, Internet URLs, or CD tracks to be played in a
given session. The order of these files can be changed at any time, and a
given selection of files can be saved as a "Preset" and loaded in at a
later time.
In short, MusicMasterPro is about the most powerful and flexible program
for playing and recording music that one could hope for.
